Must List: Five Things to Do in Seattle This Week

Shopping, Blooming, Whale-Watching

In 2025, people are seated upside-down on a colorful amusement park ride against a clear blue sky, expressing excitement and thrill—a must-list experience for every adventure seeker.

Spring has teased us this week, but alas, it’s not predicted to last. Typical. If you do plan on dodging some spring showers, check out Robin’s Restaurant and Market in Fremont, the new eatery from the owners of the popular Greenwood American Bistro. Early reviews are stellar.

Maybe take a trip to Seattle’s first Fat Mall, a monthlong popup marketplace offering plus-size fashion options. And Father’s Day is a ways off, but if you’re thinking about some stylish upgrades for the man in your life, check out Suit Supply’s new location at the base of Rainier Tower: lots of high-quality threads at very affordable prices. In fact, just head downtown and soak up the sights. You don’t need an agenda. Many exciting things are happening.

While you’re at it, you can embrace both your inner geek while feeling cool at the same time. It’s just what we do.

Here’s what else to do this week.

In vibrant, patchwork costumes, two actors perform spiritedly on stage. One raises a metal container high. The words "Squeeze," "UMO Ensemble," and "Seattle Public Theater" highlight this must-see event featured in the Must List for 04-10-2025.

A bar is the setting for discussions of all that is challenging in the world: climate change, housing insecurity, wealth disparity and social connection. How do we adapt and connect with a world seemingly teetering on the brink?

Collage of Washington Spring Fair highlights: roller coaster, person with ice cream, and pig race against a sunset sky. Text reads "Spring into Puyallup—125 years." Mark your calendars for the Must List event on 04-10-2025!.

Who doesn’t like a fair? Let the kid inside of you out at the Washington Spring Fair. Demolition derby! Barbecue competitions! A dinosaur exhibit! Throw in monster truck rides and racing pigs, and you’ve got some silly fun for everyone.

Celebrate the return of the Sounders gray whales, featuring a parade (plus a critter parade), educational presentations, a beach clean-up and, of course, whale watching. The North Puget Sound gray whales, knowns as Sounders, break off their migration route to feed on ghost shrimp from March through May in the North Puget Sound.

Colorful abstract painting of boats at sea with text overlay: "Best of the Northwest, Seattle's Premier Art & Fine Craft Show," is a must-list for art enthusiasts, marking the 36th Annual Spring Show.

The Northwest Spring show — widely considered the city’s premier arts and crafts show — offers handmade art in all mediums by more than 100 artists. The best part: You can watch artists create at their booths. The Northwest Stone Sculptors Association are featured in special exhibits throughout the venue.

A vibrant street fair scene bursts to life with bustling booths, people meandering, and a child perched on an adult's shoulders. A clown joyfully plays the trumpet near an enticing ice cream stand. "Tulip Festival Street Fair" proudly tops the scene, making it a must-list for 2025 attractions.
