Best Food Truck: Sunny Up

By Seattle Mag November 12, 2024

A hand holds a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich in a biodegradable tray, perfectly capturing the essence of Seattle's breakfast-only food truck scene.

This article originally appeared in the November/December 2024 issue of Seattle magazine.

Seattle’s first breakfast-only food truck serves up high-quality breakfast sandwiches with a creative spin. Run by seasoned pros Ande Janousek and Tara Zumpano, the menu has favorites like the Josephine Baken (pepper bacon, egg, white cheddar, tomato jam, and thyme aioli) and the Frida Avokahlo (avocado, egg, garlic kale, fontina, Mama Lil’s Peppers aioli). Every sandwich is named after an inspiring woman, making it cooler than your basic food truck. You just can’t go wrong with a Ruth Tater Ginsburg or the Nina Smoked Salmone.

Hot Tip

Be sure to grab a side of the cinnamon-sugar doughnut holes before they sell out.
